Beauty Treatments to get you ready for Spring

We know Spring is about to come when the weather is getting warmer and there’s more sunlight. The longer sunshine duration means the laser season is about to end. The main reason why laser treatments are not recommended in Spring and Summer is because of the increased risks of skin sensitivity and sunburn brought by prolonged sun exposure, as we explained in our “The Best Time/Season For Lasers and Why” article.

If it’s not a good idea to have lasers in the seasons of blossom, what other beauty treatments are suitable to go for? Here we list out some facial and body treatments that you should consider to keep you look and feel the best without worrying about the post-treatment sun exposure.

Note: you should always put on a sunscreen with sufficient SPF to lower the impact of photoaging, regardless of the change in seasons.

LED Light Facial Treatment with Microdermabrasion

LED Red Light Therapy

Surviving through the harsh and dry winter must have been hard, eh? Our skin is likely to have suffered dehydration and has dull dead skin cells built up. A rejuvenating facial can definitely help reveal a fresher, clearer complexion with clean pores to glow.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliation and skin rejuvenation procedure that leaves skin looking softer and brighter. It preps your skin and removes dead skin cells to allow better absorption and nourishment. A LED light treatment can help further promote the production of collagen.

Our Power Gel Facial is a complete and effective specialty facial at Medical Spa club which includes microdermabraion, LED facial treatment and customized jelly mask to pamper your skin and deliver optimal results.

Ultherapy

Also known as the “gold standard” in non-surgical skin lifting and tightening, this procedure bypasses the surface of the skin through ultrasound energy with focused imaging—to target just the right amount at the right depths and the right temperature.

Because Ultherapy targets the deeper layers under the skin, this means the superficial outer skin layer is not affected. Therefore, there won’t be any downtime or open wounds. You will be able to carry on with your everyday activities right after treatment. After 2-3 months when new collagen grows, you (and someone else) will be able to notice your rejuvenated face with results that last for a year or more.

Fillers / Botulinum Toxins

Fillers

These two different injectables produce quick and reliable results to achieve a rejuvenated look. Fillers can pump up your skin and contour your facial features. Botulinum Toxins relax your muscles and can smooth out wrinkles and lines. Injectables certainly earn their reputation well for delivering younger looking skin and are great options to bring on the spring spirit for refreshed looks.

Results of fillers appear immediately after the procedure and it only takes 1-2 weeks for results of Botulinum Toxins to fully show. Side effects are minimal to none and there’s no downtime after injection.

Vanquish ME

We’re not saying you can’t do CoolSculpting (the only FDA-approved fat freezing procedure to get rid of stubborn fat) in the warmer months, but some of you may not want the possible temporary bruising and swelling to show under your short sleeves or shorts. That’s part of the reason why we recommend our clients to have CoolSculpting in fall/winter.

Is there any alternative that produces superior results too? Surely there is! Vanquish ME is noted for its ability to melt up to 29% of unwanted circumstantial fat after a full treatment of 4-6 sessions. It is a contactless treatment and its patented selective RF technology targets the fat layer under the skin so there’s basically no downtime or recovery post-treatment. There may be some redness right after the procedure but it goes away in some minutes or hours. It’ll take 2-3 months for the full results to show. You’ll be able to show off your toned body when Spring finally comes!

Viveve

Collagen isn’t just for the face anymore!

The Viveve System is a dual-energy platform device for feminine rejuvenation. It is a 3-in-1 solution to tighten the vagina, fix bladder leakage and promote sexual sensation. It incorporates Cryogen-cooled Monopolar Radiofrequency technology (CMRF) to uniformly deliver volumetric heating while gently cooling surface tissue to generate neocollagenesis in a single in-office session. Viveve’s endovaginal procedure is performed in under an hour and requires no anesthesia to maintain patient comfort.

What makes Viveve a preferred option for clients with mild vaginal laxity or urinary continence problem due to weakened pelvic floor muscles is it requires no downtime or recovery post-treatment. Compared to surgical procedure, Viveve is safe yet produces consistent clinical outcomes without the surgical risks and hospital stay.
