Moles
Moles can appear anywhere on our skin. Some can lead to skin cancer while others are just harmless. Determining factors for harmful moles can be from size and color.
Caused by genes and sun exposure, moles are a type of skin growth and do not go away on their own. At Medical Spa Club clinic, our doctor can help your determine if your mole needs to be surgically removed or if it is harmless. Some people still opt to remove the mole even if it’s harmless for cosmetic reasons.
Differentiating Moles From Skin Tags and Warts
Skin tags are soft flaps of skin and entirely benign (non-cancerous). Warts are colourless and are caused by viruses so they are contagious.
While moles are always brown in colour and may deepen with sun exposure, skin tags and warts may be colourless. There may also be hair growing from moles but not from skin tags nor warts.
Mole, Skin Tag & Wart Removal
Most moles and skin tags can be considered cosmetic flaws but may bring inconvenience and uncomfortability. Some people have them removed to save trouble and improve their appearance. Cancerous moles and contagious warts should be treated before they get out of control.
All these skin growth issues can be assessed and treated at Medical Spa Club. Our doctor can help you determine if your mole, skin tag or wart needs to be removed or if it is harmless. Some people still opt to remove them for aesthetic reasons.
