Ultherapy is delivered in lines consisting of multiple ultrasound nodes and the price for a treatment is based on the number of lines delivered. More lines are needed to treat looser skin. Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy – which has unique properties that allow it to bypass the surface of the skin, unlike radio frequency which uses thermal energy to penetrate heat from the surface to the dermis. Ultherapy treats certain tissue depths to treat depths not matched by any other non-invasive cosmetic technology, deep below the skin’s surface to  4.5mm than lasers (100% deeper) and RFs (50% deeper).

Ultherapy stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation, the SMAS layer, resulting in a clinically significant lift of tissue over two to three months. Lasers rely on light energy, which cannot reach deeper skin layers. Typically, laser treatments also only treat superficial skin and are not FDA-cleared to lift skin.

Ultherapy lasts about 60-90 minutes (full face and neck treatment), while treatment for the upper chest (or décolletage) takes approximately 30 minutes.

After cleansing the skin and identifying the specific areas to be treated, our doctor will apply the ultrasound gel and place the smooth treatment applicator against your skin. To customize your treatment, our doctor will next visualize the best location for treatment through Ultherapy’s ultrasound imaging, in order to target the area(s) that will benefit you most.

During treatment, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited under the skin, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels can vary from person to person, but you may experience the sensation of heat and/or tingling while the energy is being delivered. Our doctor may recommend certain options to enhance your comfort during treatment.

It requires no surgery and no downtime. Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin through ultrasound energy with focused imaging—to target just the right amount at the right depths and the right temperature. This means that you will be able to carry on with your everyday activities without a problem.

Your skin might appear flushed at first, but the redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature.
