Remove Dark Circle with Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers conceal the dark circles by bridging the gap between the infraorbital fat pad and the mid-face fat pad which descended due to the loss of volume in supporting structures. The gap between the two fat pads creates a trough, which gives the appearance of dark circle (shadow in the trough). By filling the trough and making the two fat pads contiguous, the “dark circles” are removed. This will also remove the appearance of “bags under the eyes” in many cases. Additionally, injecting fillers along the very important support structures in the mid-face will restore the required support and produce a lifting effect on the tissues that had sagged, often reducing the Jowls, Marionette lines, and Nasolabial fords.
